Character: Touya
Fandom: Yu Yu Hakusho
Personality: Touya's basic personality is perfectly summed up in the element he has mastered. He is rather cold and calm, often considered the most mature member of his team. Though he is not silent, he doesn't talk excessively and he has a very strong sense of honor. Touya is the type that would rather lose honestly than win through dishonorable means. Despite this, he does have a sense of humor conveyed mainly through sarcastic remarks.

History: Not much is known of Touya's background before the Dark Tournament, and he's not very willing to share. Touya is the ice master of the Shinobi of the Makai, and has lived nearly his entire life in darkness. Because of this, he has become obsessed with the pursuit of light. When given the opportunity, he and his team, Team Mashyoutsukai, entered the Dark Tournament with the ultimate goal of winning the island it was hosted on, hoping that the island could be their light.

Unfortunately, this dream was not to be. The team of shinobi went against Team Urameshi and that is where their advancement through the tournament ended. Touya faced against Kurama after the man had been rendered nearly completely immobile and powerless by Gama, a shinobi that gave up his life to bring Kurama to such a state. Touya swore to avenge Gama's death and began attacking Kurama, knowing he only had ten minutes to finish it before his fallen comrade's spells were useless.

The match was close, ending after Kurama sowed a death seed into his own body and used it to stab Touya in the stomach right before the demon sliced off his head. After the countdown was finished, Touya asked Kurama to kill him, for he didn't wish to continue living after suffering such a loss. Kurama refused, saying that he wanted to know what Touya would do once he found the light. Later, when the committee members of the tournament used an underhanded tactic to try and force Team Mashyoutsukai's win by default, Touya objected against the move to his team Captain, not liking the underhanded tactic. The move was reversed when Kuwabara proved himself able to fight, however, and defeated Risho, the team leader.

After his team's defeat, Touya stayed at the tournament to watch, most often accompanied by Jin. He later found friends in Chuu, Rinku and Shishiwakamaru, following them around throughout the rest of the tournament and likely keeping them out of trouble.

I'm taking Touya from right after the tournament has ended. Everyone of importance has escaped the collapsing dome and is on their way to wherever they're going next.
